Solar cooking is still a foreign concept to most people today. The term simply refers to the use of solar-powered stoves and ovens to cook. As mentioned in a previous article, people who live in areas that receive lots of sunshine would benefit tremendously from using it as a source of energy. Installing solar panels on top of one’s roof might seem costly but, when one looks at it as a long-term investment, it makes perfect sense.

If one cannot invest in rooftop solar panels for the time being, fear not. One can take a more affordable step towards saving money (from the gas or electricity bill) and being more energy efficient: Buying solar cooking material. The money one would normally spend on gas or electricity could be saved towards buying rooftop solar panels later.
