Grace in triumph

Usain Bolt managed to amaze the sporting world once again. His record-breaking 9.58-second run in the World Championship 100 meter final was more than breathtaking. It was phenomenal! Usain Bolt is revolutionizing his sport while making it look effortless. It is often said that in sports, the great ones make the most difficult things seem so easy.

Usain Bolt is steadily cementing his legacy as the greatest sprinter of all time. His relaxed demeanor before and during races is noteworthy. By observing his demeanor, one would forget the the extremely high expectations surrounding him. Many people would consider those expectations as a form of pressure. In addition to his personal expectations, he was unofficially carrying the weight of a nation on his shoulders and the high hopes of his sponsors. So much can be learned from him.

The message that comes across from watching Usain Bolt run is that having high expectations for one's self does not have to result in feeling pressured. Especially if one enjoys what he or she does. Bolt embodies the concept of a person who enjoys every aspect of what he or she does. His stunning performances are no coincidence. Albert Einstein is associated with the "E=mc²" formula. I think that it is fair to associate Usain Bolt with the "Relaxation+Enjoyment= High Performance" formula.

One should also commend Bolt's level-headedness and sportsmanship. Congratulations Mr. Bolt! The sky is the limit.
