The Gleaner recently published an article about an event organized by Kingston-based non-profit organization Manifesto Jamaica. While it is not unusual for the Gleaner to cover artistic events, such an article is refreshing as Manifesto Jamaica is still a relatively new Jamaican non-profit organization. Why should the major media houses wait for positive initiatives to be big before giving them attention ? That’s right, there is no valid reason. Read more about the event here.
Frequent highlighting of positive activities such as the ones put together by the young Jamaicans of Manifesto Jamaica can only lead to positive movements gaining more steam.
