From hardship to ownership

posted by Focused on April 28, 2010 @ 8:10 am in MEDIA

I came across an inspiring article in the Jamaica Gleaner recently. It highlights a young man’s resilience and tenacity! Kevin Frith faced a lot of adversity while growing up in Kingston. Due to his lack of finances, he had to work in order to put himself through high school. However, that wasn’t his only challenge as Kevin Frith also dealt with being homeless at times. Nevertheless, Kevin Frith overcame all obstacles in his way.

Today, Kevin Frith owns a successful business and is even raising money for charity to help children in need. You can read the article here.

@jimbilin. There are so many People like Kevin Frith who go unnoticed. Our news media ought to be giving them the most coverage.

Fantastic!!! Could we please have some more of this kind of thing in the Jamaican news media? There are so many courageous and determined people in our country who brave the odds every single day and who literally achieve miracles despite their circumstances, We need to write articles and make documentaries about them. These people are truly inspirational.
