Jamaica has produced and exported world-class sprinters for decades. The world's premier sprint factory, as the country is known to many sports enthusiasts, needs to have a museum dedicated to the sport.

       Opening a track & field museum in Jamaica would contribute towards many things. It would be a way of honouring all the great Jamaican athletes for their achievements and contribution to the sport. Sports, in this case track & field, play a key role in shaping a society. One's involvement in a sporting activity helps build one's character.

       Jamaica's National Track & Field Museum would also be useful in teaching every Jamaican child about the country's athletic history. This would cement Jamaica's track legacy regardless of Jamaica's performance in future Olympics and World Championships.  From a global perspective, this would enhance Jamaica's status as a track & field mecca.
